BEFORE + AFTER // 7TH AVE

This charming home already had great bones but needed a furniture and accessory makeover. The living room rug was too small for the large space and our clients wanted to make the room more of a formal gathering place for entertaining. We replaced the sectional with a sofa, an oversized chair and two matching swivel chairs. We kept their large round coffee table but replaced the blue curtains with a more neutral color. Loving the minimalistic look we only added a few decor pieces in warm tones to blend with the furniture.

We can’t even stand how good this kitchen transformation is! We took down the wall that separated the breakfast nook from the rest of the kitchen. Removing the black and white tile floors and running the wood floors that are in the rest of the house created a consistent flow. With a family of 5 storage was a must have in this kitchen. We added a floor to ceiling pantry on the back wall of the kitchen to store food and appliances.. We kept the design light and airy with a touch of vintage and Mediterranean.

This brand new build in Coronado, CA was a dream to furnish. To compliment the light hardwood floors and white paint we balanced dark and light tones with a pop of navy. The designed a custom sofa from our shop for the living room and used texture and pattern to breakup the large sectional. In the dining nook we used a warm wood table with black dining chairs with cute botanical prints on the walls. In the bedroom we used our Sonoma bed from the shop in a creamy white with nail-heads.

The change from before to after on this project was drastic! Even matching up the corresponding photos took us a minute and once we did we couldn’t believe what a transformation this home went through. Re-orienting the main staircase and creating another bathroom and bedroom from the extremely large master made this house more functional. Let us know what you think in the comments!

We just loved working on the gorgeous home in Coronado, CA. By changing the entire layout of the home we were able to add another bedroom and two more bathrooms. The galley kitchen was closed off from the rest of the house and we took down the wall creating a large dream kitchen with high end appliances, built in bar and desk, two islands with ample storage and a gorgeous wood pantry. By changing the orientation of the staircase and raising the ceilings upstairs we create the ultimate game room for hanging out and taking in the view of the San Diego Bay. The master bedroom/bathroom was so large before the remodel that we were able to create another bathroom and bedroom. The master suite has a large bathroom and walk in closet with laundry. Each room has a special charm and nod to our adorable beach town.

This classic beach home in Coronado is bright airy and full of charm. The first floor living space has a family room, dining room and spacious kitchen so making sure all the materials and colors blended through out the space was important. We did a bright white on the cabinets but grounded the kitchen island in a dark grey. The counters are a warm gray contrasted by a classic subway tile.
